15 new COVID-19 cases in Dharavi, tally rises to 101; death toll 10

Today, Dharavi recorded 15 new cases and one more death, taking the tally of coronavirus positive the cases in the city to 101.

On Thursday, the slum recorded 26 cases, setting a grim benchmark for the most number of cases recorded in a single day in Mumbai.

The couple got engaged on November 9 last year. The marriage, initially planned in January, was postponed to a convenient date on April 26.

Three new cases each were found in Matunga labour camp, Muslim Nagar and Indira Nagar, two at Social Nagar and one each at Dr Baliga Nagar, Laxmi Chawl, Janata society and Sarvoday Society.

Among all the cases, the highest 21 (including a death) were traced in Muslim Nagar, followed by 18 in Mukund Nagar and 10 in Social Nagar.

Meanwhile, in some relief to the people residing in the KW ward of Mumbai, three areas have been released from the containment zones.

Mumbai city has crossed 2,000 mark when it comes to COVID-19 positive cases, meanwhile the state has recorded over 3,000 cases.
