PM Modi, Trump agree to deploy full strength of India-US partnership to fight coronavirus

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister
Narendra Modi and US President
Donald Trump on Saturday had an “extensive” telephonic conversation in the wake of the
coronavirus pandemic.

PM Modi said both of them agreed to deploy the “full strength” of the
India-US partnership to fight

In a
tweet, PM Modi wrote, “Had an extensive telephone conversation with President @realDonaldTrump. We had a good discussion, and agreed to deploy the full strength of the India-US partnership to fight COVID-19.”

The Prime Minister also spoke to Brazil President Jair Bolsonaro about how both the countries can combat the virus together.

The deadly coronavirus has so far infected over 1,131,000 people and claimed the lives of over 59,800 people across the world.

The US has confirmed 278,458 cases of Covid-19 and more than 7,100 deaths, so far while India has over 3,000 confirmed cases of coronavirus.
