Dehradun: The winter Char Dham pilgrimage has ignited significant enthusiasm among devotees, with a total of 15,314 pilgrims having visited the sacred sites by December 30. The highest number of visitors, totaling 6,482, has been recorded at the Omkareshwar Temple in Ukhimath, which serves as the winter abode for Lord Kedarnath.
Devotees Flock to Sacred Sites
As the winter pilgrimage progresses, the numbers reflect a remarkable devotion among the faithful. The statistics reveal that:
- 6,482 pilgrims visited the Omkareshwar Temple in Ukhimath, the winter residence of Baba Kedarnath.
- 5,104 devotees paid homage at Pandukeshwar, where they sought blessings from Lord Badri Vishal.
- 3,114 visitors made their way to Mukba at Gangotri Dham to pay respects to Mother Ganga.
- 614 pilgrims visited Kharsali in Yamunotri Dham to seek the blessings of Mother Yamuna.

Chief Minister’s Inauguration
The winter pilgrimage was inaugurated by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on December 8 at the Omkareshwar Temple, marking the commencement of the Panch Kedar winter journey. During these six months, devotees will have the opportunity to worship Lord Kedarnath and Lord Madmaheshwar at this location.
Daily Pilgrimage Activities
Every day, hundreds of devotees arrive to seek blessings from Baba Kedarnath. On Monday alone, 518 pilgrims visited Baba Kedarnath, while 364 devotees worshipped at Pandukeshwar. Additionally, 18 pilgrims were welcomed at Mukba, and 8 at Kharsali.
