Wheat trampling by Bullocks

With wheat harvested…..it time to remove the husk and stem from the wheat…done by .. the traditional system of trampling by bullocks in the hills…. For generations farmers in subsistence agricultural system have been doing this….

No wonder… the new educated generation will not like to live in the village and continue doing what their forefathers did for livelihood….
Unless we dont have appropriate rural technologies to produce surplus in agricultural and allied sectors…..people will continue to migrate to the urban centers and we will keep seeing and hearing about ‘ghost’ and abandoned villages in the hills.Removing
